3 ways to eco wrap your gifts this Christmas

3 ways to eco wrap your gifts this Christmas

We are all trying to do the right thing for the environment, and this year there is a huge move away from glitter and paper that can’t be recycled. Here at OMG we’ve been considering options for gift wrap. Why not try one of these?

  1. Use pages from an old illustrated book or map as wrapping paper. Whilst pulling apart an old book can seem like sacrilege, charity shops are overwhelmed with large reference books which can often end up in the tip anyway. Help to give them one more purpose this year!
  2. Use fabric, either fabric scraps, old pillowcases or cushion covers (and seriously, how easy is popping a gift into a zip up bag for convenience?!) or a piece of clothing like a scarf.
  3. Brown paper – but jazz it up a bit. Either paint the outside (if you have that inclination) – or write all over it (how personal that could be!) or accessorize it with decorations (hand made paper flowers?!)

Nothing is nicer than the personal touch!
